Homemade Salsa Recipe: Fresh and Flavorful

Hey there, salsa lovers! One of my favorite things to make in the kitchen is homemade salsa. It’s so easy to make, and the flavor is so much better than store-bought salsa. Plus, you can customize it to your liking by adjusting the spice level or adding in your favorite ingredients.

Here’s my go-to recipe for fresh and flavorful homemade salsa:

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 ripe tomatoes
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1 jalapeño pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions:

  1. Remove the stems from the tomatoes and chop them into small pieces.
  2. Finely chop the red onion.
  3. Remove the stem and seeds from the jalapeño pepper and finely chop.
  4. Chop the cilantro.
  5. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  6. Let the salsa sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  7. Give the salsa a taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.

That’s it! This salsa is perfect for dipping tortilla chips, topping tacos or grilled meats, or even as a salad dressing. And the best part is, you can adjust the spice level to your liking. If you like it really spicy, add in another jalapeño or even a serrano pepper. If you prefer a milder salsa, remove the seeds from the jalapeño or omit it altogether.

I hope you give this homemade salsa recipe a try! Let me know in the comments if you have any other favorite salsa ingredients or variations.
