From there, it was all about maintaining our power and influence. We became a leader in the fight against communism during the Cold War, and we continued to flex our economic muscles by becoming a major player in international trade.
So, what can we learn from the rise of America in the 20th century? Well, for one thing, we can learn that isolationism isn’t always the best policy.
