Despite these challenges, there are still plenty of companies working on autonomous vehicle technology. Companies like Waymo, Tesla, and Uber have all been testing self-driving cars, and there are plenty of startups and research groups working on this technology as well.

So, where does that leave us? Well, it’s clear that fully autonomous vehicles are still a ways off, but we’re making progress. As technology continues to improve and regulations become clearer, we’ll likely see more and more autonomous vehicles on the road. It might be a while before we’re all zipping around in self-driving cars, but it’s definitely an exciting time to be alive.
